A Holiday Tradition in Flagstaff 🎄

A Community Map of Decorated Homes and Businesses

Each winter, Flagstaff takes on a special kind of glow. Lights peek through the pines 🌲, storefronts feel warmer after dark 🏪✨, and neighborhoods invite people to slow down and enjoy the season.

To make it easier to explore and enjoy these moments, I created a community-driven map of decorated homes and businesses across Flagstaff. This map is for anyone who wants to get out, take a drive, walk downtown, or share a festive evening with family and friends.

No planning required. Just curiosity and a little time.

How to Use the Holiday Lights Map 🗺️

The interactive map highlights:

  • 🎄 Decorated private homes that have chosen to participate
  • 🛍️ Festively decorated local businesses
  • ✨ A mix of classic displays and playful, creative designs

Tap a pin to view photos when available, read a short description, and get directions from your current location.

You can plan a full route or simply explore one area at a time. The map works well for quick outings or longer evenings of wandering and discovery.

The map is mobile friendly and can be opened directly in Google Maps for easy navigation.

Want to Add Your Home or Business 🎁

This map is built with help from the community, and participation is always optional.

If you have decorated your home or business and would like to be included, you are welcome to submit your display using the form below. Submissions are reviewed to help ensure privacy, safety, and a positive experience for everyone. Map is updated daily until 12/31/2025.

A Note on Respect and Safety 🤍

This project is rooted in care for people, neighborhoods, and the season itself.

When visiting displays:

  • Please enjoy decorations from the street
  • Do not enter private property
  • Be mindful of traffic, parking, and nearby neighbors
  • Visit during recommended evening hours when possible

Decorations are shared generously. Experiencing them with thoughtfulness helps keep this tradition welcoming for all.

Why I Created This Map 🌲

For me, home and community are about connection.

Sometimes that connection looks like a conversation. Other times it looks like a quiet drive, warm lights against the night sky, and a reminder to slow down and notice where you are.

Flagstaff has a way of bringing people together through small, meaningful moments. This map is simply an invitation to experience those moments, one neighborhood at a time.

Wishing you a season filled with warmth, light, and shared joy ✨

Cheers,
Katannya
