Katannya Hartwell
Meet Katannya Hartwell, ABR®, RSPS — a Flagstaff-based NAR member who brings clarity, insight, and grounded guidance to every real estate journey. Since beginning her real estate career in 2019, Katannya has helped buyers and sellers navigate complex decisions with confidence and ease. Her deep understanding of Flagstaff’s diverse market, including second homes and distinctive properties, makes her a trusted expert in identifying comparables even in the most unique situations.
Katannya’s path to real estate was shaped by years of experience in education, psychology, and leadership. Holding a Master of Arts in Teaching from Northern Arizona University, a Master of Science in Waldorf Education, and a BA in Psychology from NC State, she brings an uncommon depth of perspective to her work. Her clients often describe her as both “wicked smart” and deeply grounded, known for her patience, creativity, and ability to make the process feel personal and empowering.
Her love for Flagstaff runs deep — from hiking and snowboarding to her fascination with Waldorf education, the human condition, and a great sci-fi storyline. Outside of work, she enjoys time in nature, lively conversations with friends, and slow moments that allow for reflection and growth.
Since 2020, Katannya has also worked with vacation rentals and is well-versed in how short-term and second-home use intersects with local market trends. She continues to advise clients, drawing on this experience, while transitioning her operational focus to her business, Bear Paw Comforts, LLC.
Now operating under the Ms Flagstaff Real Estate brand, Katannya is building something more than a traditional real estate presence.
